“Ravine hotel at Panchgani, Maharashtra located at foot of Sydney point.
Location: Foot of Sydney point
Amenities: Rooms with higher prices has valley view. Lower prices rooms looks towards road
Rooms overview: Spacious with wooden furnitures. Rooms have AC. But hotel is not centrally AC. Private western toilet with hot and cold water.
TV with multiple entertainment channels available.
Beds are comfortable.
Special mention; Good and well equipped gym, game rooms with two pool tables, one TT table, one carrom board is available. They have 4 lawn tennis ground which one can use. A small but clean swimming pool is also available.
Dining: In house complimentary buffet breakfast has well laid spread of indian and western breakfast options with daily changing menu. Lunch and dinner menu options is also quite vast.
One must try garlic cheese naan which is one of their speciality and one of the best I had. Food portion is good and taste is quite good.
There is an open terrace adjacent to dining hall where one can have view of valley while having breakfast.
Sightseeing: Sydney point is just 5-10 minutes uphill. One can walk if wants to.
Verdict: One of the best option to spend leisure weekend with family in peace of valley away from urban cutter. PLenty of amusement of option within the hotel only be it indoor or outdoor sports, swimming, dining, trekking nearby or just be laid back.
Important: The hotel is non smoking and do not serve alcohol.
Hotel premises: Clean with manicured garden.”
