“Ravine’s Hotel, Panchgani.

On 25th December 2020, we did a last minute check in at Ravine’s. We have stayed here many a times in the past hence we are aware of the beauty and service of Ravine’s. Fortunately, we found a room on 25th December 2020 but we didn’t get our favourite valley side view room as they were all booked but we got East side room which faces the Entrance of the hotel, the parking area and the road. The view of East side room was not that bad either. The Christmas and New Year Decor more added on to the beauty. We stayed here for 3 days.
Check In:
a. Its mandatory to carry a medical certificate to Ravine’s Hotel. There is a Doctor on board too to check your temperature and oxygen check.
b. The pen used to write is sanitized and used/unused pens are kept separately labelled.
c. We were mesmerized by the Hotel lobby Christmas decoration with the beautiful Christmas Tree.
d. Automated Sanitizers are kept at each and every common area, near the lifts and all the floor lift.
e. Each and entire rooms after the check out of every customer gets fogging and is well sanitized. Still, upon our request the housekeeping staff sanitized all the areas, I was amazed by the level of sanitization the staff was following, i didn’t even had to instruct the staff. Loved the dedication and loyalty towards work, had to tip him generously.
f. We received a Christmas gift in the form of tasty plum cake.
g. Restaurant gives discount in spa if you avail for the service.
Room Service:
a. The Hotel scrapped their menu book and instead kept a bar code which takes you to the order. A smart choice which most of the premium hotels are opting for at covid times.
b. The Food was delicious as always.
c. We got an extra bed for my 4 and a half year old son who freaked out on his own space in the hotel.
d. Housekeeping Supervisors have walkie talkie to communicate if the customers complaints about certain room service which we had about the AC not working and the Set top box recharge, which was immediately taken care of.
Restaurant:
a. I was impressed by the Hotel’s Covid precautionary protocols. The Buffet breakfast was served by their own staff who were wearing masks and gloves. There was a barrier in the form of rope so that the customers don’t cross it. Very thoughtful initiative so that multiple people don’t use the same serving spoon.
b. The best part about the breakfast i liked is the Kulhad Chai which the guy was preparing on the spot and the taste of the masala Chai was mind blowing.
Surrounding:
a. As usual, we love the breathtaking view of Ravine’s. The beautiful valley which we get to see is so peaceful. The fresh air, away from pollution takes all the stress away.
b. Next time, would love to reside in the beautiful tents of Ravine’s.
I highly recommend Hotel Ravine’s.
I gave one star less as there is still a room for improvement.”
