“It was my friend's birthday. We had booked Emperor's Tent.
Day 1: as soon as we entered we found a Lizard. After a while we experienced crab. We almost were waiting for room service for 15 mins until they arrived. Finally they found it after all the efforts they killed it. Lot of insects all over the place.
Day 2: enough was enough until we discovered Rats over the place. The area above tent was all Rats. We asked for room change, there wasn't any available as per reply received. Not at all a worthy experience to be paid so much for .. pathetic service received.
No one should opt for any type of tent. Coz if Emperor's Tent is having so many issues I pity those who booked other tents.
The only amazing part was the valley view and the private pool.”

“We stayed at the hotel from 8th October 2020 to 10th October 2020. We booked the valley side room and had a great view from the balcony. Tennis courts and half valley view so you can watch the sunrise and sunset and also some guests playing tennis. The hotel is located just on the main road but there is no road noise that you can hear in the rooms. The exterior appearance may not be appealing but the rooms are good in general.
Safety
-----------
In this post covid era, hotel staff took utmost precautions and care for the guests. All staff were wearing masks and gloves which they used to change daily. Disposal bins for masks and gloves are present at each floor also Sanitiser machines automatic and manual are present at various places, reception, elevators, stairs etc. Temperature checks were done when we arrived at the hotel and our luggage was sanitised as well. They also ask for fitness certificates from all guests for advance bookings at least. Not sure about ad-hoc bookings though, as guests would be unaware about this policy. We did notice some on the go tourists checking out the rooms.
Food
---------
Our stay included breakfast only, lunch and dinner was not included. Breakfast varieties were quite good with veg/non-veg combinations. They also serve few live order dishes like dosa and omlette. All breakfast items tasted great , I would recommend their taco, upma, medu vada sambhar and cheese omlette. With shortage of staff in the post covid era, there were limited menu options for lunch and dinner. We did lunch once and twice dinner considering that it is a safer option instead of venturing outside. Veg items were good one can try paneer khurchand and dal khichdi, non-veg we tried the chicken biryani and it was okay. I might add that the charges were slightly on higher side (not for all dishes though)
Facilities
--------------
Clearly with restrictions and guidelines from the government, we knew only limited facilities are available for guests due to safety. The hotel has a Spa, Salon, 4 tennis courts (Only 2 seemed usable), Swimming pool, games room and gym. For safety reasons only Tennis courts were available. They charge 200 bucks for tennis equipment on hire. Playing tennis was good, but due to some unruly guests we could not play for long as they were disturbing and passing comments. A good time to play with privacy would be early morning. I suggest management to keep some staff near the court to manage some unruly characters.
Rooms
-----------
Rooms were very clean and we were assured they were sanitised 24 hours ago post which no one enters the room. This is to have minimal contact. No one is allowed to enter the room technically if there is no problems. We faced problems with the air conditioning. Since we couldn't keep the window open at night A/C not working was a problem, technician was called but he couldn't fix the problem well. Since the weather was not that hot, we were able to manage with less cooling. There was some irritating sound also from the indoor unit. The hot water kettle was also not working, we ordered for a replacement. Same for the TV set top box, it was replaced on first day. Great balcony and view was great from the valley room, this was the USP I would say. One one of the nights the electricity got tripped at 3:30 am and sleep was disrupted, we waited for a hour patiently to see if it gets restored but was not. After calling reception they explained the problem and sent an electrician after. He later fixed the problem so close to 2 hours sleep was disrupted. The problem was not the hotel's fault so can't really blame them for it and they probably did not go around calling the rooms to avoid disrupting guests.
Sightseeing.
-------------------
Nearest to Sydney point, one can go walking. All other points are closed due to pandemic situation. Therefore the hotel being good is very essential.”

“I stayed here in June-18, very good connectivity.
One can cover panchagni & mahbaleshwar nitu the places by staying to this hotels as it’s in almost in the middle.

and backwaters of dhom dam...that it self is the winning point for this hotel. Add to it a very nice and courteous staff. The outdoor seating at the restaurant with the beautiful calm valley as the backdrop makes for the most relaxing breakfasts on a holiday. Ask for the valley facing rooms if they are available. You might want to book in advance as the hotel is almost always full, irrespective of peak or off season. All in all a good place for holidays in mahabaleshwar or panchgani. ????????

Awesome property.....lovely food. Lovely ambience...worth every penny. ..worth going to every corner of the property....u don't even have to step out of the property if u love clicking pics.

I had suggested the same hotel to some of my family members & friends, they were also satisfied & given me a thankyou note for suggesting a good property.

I could. It choose the valley facing room due to unavailability at that time, next time for sure I’ll book in advance to get the best views from my room itself.
???? ????
Thanks”

“Starting with Covid time measures, they are trying hard to show that they are trying to do as govt. has given directions but as one can imagine implementation is not there. Hotel was with full occupancy and sold out so you can imagine the safety measure, same oxy meter are used for everyone. It was supposed to be no touch check in but you end up standing in check in counter for some time. Very pathetic check in experience.
Next is room experience, rooms have some kind of smell which I think could be due to hotels are closed for long time. But they don't come and clean the rooms, in 2 days of stay they did not change the beddings. Rooms have no fridge so every time if you want to keep anything, you have to keep in their kitchen and call them every time to get it.

There is nothing called complementary water as every time they charge you for water. No replacement for glasses/cups for coffee until you ask for one.
Breakfast is also not very good and again same thing, no rules followed or care during covid times and you can see plenty of folks during breakfast time.
Only good thing about the property is the food that we ordered in the room for dinner and they have good kids play area. It could have been much better experience but for the money they are charging, it is not a worth stay.”

“The experience was so horrendous that don’t know where to start from.

1. Bad behaviour of the staff at the Reception, zero Etiquette, rude,
2. Room cleaning is bad,
3. In room facilitates are ZERO,
4. Rooms are extremely small and congested,
5. No fridge in he room,
6. During check out asked for bottle of water and was charged for that too, when asked that today no new bottles were sent to the room and the reception replied that the day of check out no water is given,

I would recommend all not to waste your money on this Property. It has gone down in all aspects.
The staff needs to be changed. Need to learn manners and basic Etiquette.”
